Meet Mac Hospital’s newest doctor – McPherson Sentinel

McPherson Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of a new physician to its family medicine clinics. Carl E. Turner, doctor of osteopathy, is now scheduling patients in the clinic located at 1010 Hospital Drive, McPherson.

Turner was born in Shawnee Mission before moving to Utah for his formative years.

He graduated from Weber State University with emphases in Zoology, Spanish and Chemistry.

He attended medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa. He completed his Family Medicine training at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

He has special interests in obstetrics, weight loss, preventative health, diabetes as well as newborn and pediatric care. Turner performs a variety of procedures including C-sections, screening colonoscopies, vasectomies, Nexplanon and IUD insertion, office biopsies and skin lesion removals, circumcisions and more.

My approach is to actively involve the patient in their own care and work together to meet goals and improve health. I truly enjoy being a part of the journey and getting to know individuals and families, Turner said.

Turner is a member of the Kansas Academy of Family Practice, and is board certified by the American Academy of Family Practice. He is married, has three daughters and enjoys traveling, sports and spending time with his family. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
